Photos from Saint Joseph's Center's post Saint Joseph’s Center Recognizes Employees Achieving National Certification!
Saint Joseph’s Center is proud to partner with National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) to offer Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) an opportunity to earn nationally recognized DSP Certifications. As one of only two organizations in the state to offer this opportunity, Saint Joseph’s Center created a Career Ladder Program that provides DSPs with professional development, innovative training, and mentored opportunities. The Career Ladder is oriented to the development of skills, knowledge, and competencies while preparing candidates for national certification. Certification is a process of receiving official recognition for mastering and demonstrating professional standards of practice. DSPs are the professionals who do the day to day work needed to help people with disabilities live, learn, work, and play in their communities. Saint Joseph’s Center applauds the achievement of national certification by the following employees: Dawn Talley, Community Support Professional, Community Support Services; D.j. Pilarz Resident Manager, Community Living Arrangements; Hannah Price and Barbara Nemetz, Program Assistants, Adult Day Services, Luzerne County; Erin McDermott, Audrey Slocum, Nichole Rohan, Dakota Kennedy, and Christina Brush, Unit Managers, ICF Main Center; Daniel Neal and Jeremy Homschek, DSPs ICF Main Center.
