Physical Therapy

People with a wide range of conditions can benefit from the expertise of our licensed Physical Therapists. Their role is to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit physical disabilities of patients suffering from illness or injury.

The Physical Therapy Program offers the following Outpatient Services:

Land-based treatment modalities are available for patients diagnosed with acute, sub-acute and chronic conditions including rheumatologic, musculoskeletal, orthopedic and neurological. Rehabilitation services are provided for post-fracture, back/neck injuries, soft tissue injuries, work-related injury and otherย pathologies.

Modalities include:

  • Therapeutic exercise
  • Ultrasound
  • Electrical stimulation
  • Combination ultrasound and electrical-stim
  • TENS fitting and application
  • Paraffin
  • Neuromuscular rehabilitation
  • Manual therapy
  • Massage
  • Moist heat/cold packs
  • Gait training
  • Whirlpool

Pediatric and special needs individuals can be seen for neurological conditions such as Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Ataxia, Hemiparesis, Spina Bifida, Down Syndrome, and others.

Lower extremity and trunk measurement/casting and bracing for pediatrics and adults can be arranged.

Aquatic therapy for acute, sub-acute and chronic conditions are available.
